Overview

One trench. Every service. One accountable team.

Subdivision, commercial and infrastructure clients use Qube because we hold every underground utility discipline in-house — and we hold the authority interface that goes with each one.

That means we can sequence electrical, water, gas, sewer and comms in a common trench, open traffic management once, and compress your programme by weeks against split contracts.

The disciplines below cover the full utility scope — with the authority coordination and attention to detail behind each one.

Electrical reticulation civil works.
01 · Underground Electrical

Underground Electrical

Electrical reticulation civil works.

We deliver the civil works for electrical reticulation — trenching, conduits, pits and substation bases — to the distributor's standard. Cable installation, jointing and energisation are carried out by appropriately licensed and accredited contractors and the relevant distributor.

Conduits are installed at the right depth, separation and bedding for the cable that's going in next. Pits land level with the pavement. Cable pulling is planned with reels, winch and lubrication ready before the truck arrives.

What's included

  • HV and LV underground reticulation
  • Conduit, pit and pillar installation
  • Substation civil works
  • Street lighting infrastructure
  • Cable hauling and termination civil
  • Distributor energisation coordination

Attention to detail

  • Conduit depth and separation verified before backfill
  • Pit covers set 0–3 mm below pavement
  • Cable bedding sand to distributor spec
  • As-built XYZ within ±50 mm

Live services moved without taking the city offline.
07 · Service Relocations & Authority Interface

Service Relocations & Authority Interface

Live services moved without taking the city offline.

Brownfield projects need live services relocated around new structures with minimal outage. We plan shutdowns with the authority, run change-overs at night where required, and prove the new service before cutting the old one.

Every relocation is locatable, surveyed and as-built. We hand back to the authority a record they can manage 20 years from now.

What's included

  • Live electrical, water, gas, sewer & comms relocations
  • Authority shutdown coordination
  • Out-of-hours change-overs
  • Service location and proving (Class A)
  • DBYD and pre-construction locates
  • As-built drawings to authority format

Attention to detail

  • Class A locates before any excavation near services
  • Authority and customer notifications issued in advance
  • Old service capped, decommissioned and recorded

Why Qube

Why Qube is trusted underground.

Four reasons developers, authorities and councils trust Qube with their utility scope.

Authority coordination

We coordinate utility scopes with appropriately licensed and accredited contractors and the relevant electricity, water, gas and communications authorities.

Common-trench coordination

Electrical, water, gas, sewer and comms sequenced in one trench. Traffic management opens once, not five times. Programs compress, costs come down.

Locator-led safety

Every excavation begins with a DBYD response and a Class A locate. We don't dig blind, and we don't strike services.

As-built precision

Every metre of service is surveyed before backfill and lodged with the authority. The record matches the ground — every time.

Delivery

A disciplined, repeatable process.

The same engineering rigour from tender review to defects sign-off — so risk gets retired early and the programme stays predictable.

  1. 01

    Authority engagement

Pre-engagement with every relevant retailer/authority before tender close.

  2. 02

    Locates & design

DBYD, Class A locates and clash-free service design before excavation starts.

  3. 03

    Mobilisation

Accredited crews, calibrated test equipment, traffic management and ESCP in place.

  4. 04

    Install & test

Install, pressure / vacuum / continuity test, swab and chlorinate as required.

  5. 05

    Commissioning

Authority witness, as-builts lodged, handover pack and energisation date confirmed.
